Freshtracks works with a variety of clients – from agencies going through master plan updates to communities working to bring all sides to the table. Below is a sampling of current and past clients, the work Freshtracks delivered and the results of that work.
Freshtracks has worked with the Truckee Tahoe Airport District since 2012 in a variety of planning processes, public outreach efforts, information and education campaigns, and meeting facilitation. From one-on-one key stakeholder outreach to producing publications sent out to the district’s entire constituency, Freshtracks has helped the airport balance aviation and community needs, input and provide understandable, accessible information to all parties.
Noise & Annoyance Mitigation Handbook
Freshtracks staff planned, wrote and designed a comprehensive manual for the Airport District on noise and annoyance, working with numerous Airport staff members, existing documents, policies, meeting minutes and other sources. Click on the image to see the handbook.
Freshtracks created a ads, posters and the following video to help raise awareness in pilots, passengers and other users of the Airport for Fly Quiet procedures.
Freshtracks has developed educational material including a website, email blasts and print materials, facilitated numerous workshops and meetings across multiple counties in California and Nevada, and aggregated feedback for the Agency’s planning process known as the Shoreline Plan. That plan, sued in a previous iteration, balances many hotly contested aspects of Lake Tahoe policy including private property, public access, boating, piers, safety, environmental impact and more.

Freshtracks has spearheaded a multi-year communications effort for the Tahoe Keys Property Owners Association as they work to combat aquatic invasive plants infesting their lagoons and improve water quality. This multi-faceted effort has included external communications to the press, area agencies, nonprofits and other stakeholders, internal education and communications to the roughly 1,500 property owners in the Tahoe Keys to both inform them of work and educate them in their critical roll, meeting facilitation and more.
Lake & Lagoon Friendly Landscaping
Freshtracks, working with Shearer Design, created numerous educational products to get property owners to improve landscaping, watering and other aspects of property management to improve water quality in the lagoons and Lake Tahoe, in-turn helping with weed-fighting efforts.
Freshtracks built and maintains a project-specific website for the Tahoe Keys water quality efforts, including written, photo, graphic and video content. Click below to view the website.
Freshtracks has been hired to facilitate a new Regional Housing Council that brings together three counties, a town, and several special districts to accelerate solutions to workforce housing challenges in the region. The project will include creating a Council charter, facilitating quarterly meetings and developing an annual work plan. Freshtracks will work with technical housing consultants to prepare materials for the quarterly Council meetings as well as other public information needs.
